About our name

Alumo connotes light and optimism: it contains “lumo” which means “light” in Latin. Light is a synonym for knowledge and learning.

We spark, we illuminate, we turn on the light.

It also contains the work “Alumni” which ties directly to the student market. How we aim to not only help current students become alumnus, but be inclusive of graduates and stay in our members’ lives beyond their student journey.
